Chinni Hosts Prayer Meeting in Her Home

We recently received a letter from Asheesh Sydney‚  Director of  Far Corners Missions India with the good news of Chinni’s changed life.   Chinni is an  AIDS widow who also has AIDS and four young daughters.    Left without support and too ill to work‚ the hopeless Chinni made the agonizing decision to sell her daughters so that they would not starve to death.

Pastor Venka‚ an FCM pastor who works in her village heard of Chinni’s situation.  He knew that those who would buy Chinni’s daughters would immediately introduce them into human trafficking and went to visit Chinni offering her another solution.  He proposed to arrange for care for her daughters‚ one of whom has special needs‚ as well as provide AIDS medications for Chinni through Far Corners Missions.  She gratefully accepted his offer‚ and the girls and Chinni came to Gannavaram to the children’s home that is currently housed in the Sydney’s home.

The girls made a quick adjustment to living in the Sydney’s care and were enrolled in school.  Chinni began her AIDS medications and began to regain her strength.  She also heard the Gospel and the Good News of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ found a home in her heart.  Chinni was able to return to her village with a changed heart and life.    It is not by chance that Asheesh found the most desirable property for a new orphanage complex just outside Chinni’s village‚ and FCM is in the process of finalizing that purchase.

We recently received the following letter from Asheesh Sydney.  I hope you will take time to read the letter written his own words and marvel as I have at God’s loving work in Chinni’s life…..and her village.

Dear Brother Gary‚

We are happy to report to you that Chinni had a prayer meeting on the 6th of December at her house. It was my first semi Christmas celebration in that house of Chinni. Chinni invited few neighbors and their tribal pastor Venka and Pastor Daniel who is working in fellowship with us. The meeting started at 7 in the evening and they sang and worshiped in their tribal language. I and my wife Shanthi attended alone with her daughters who are staying in FCM home. All gave short messages on Christmas and also praised God for protecting us all through the year. Shanthi in her words to them said that we are soon coming to their village in to their midst and will have more friendship and understanding of each other. She also said with the assistance of the believers attended she loves to work in their community especially among the women and children. Chinni in her witness said her life is completely transformed because of Far Corners Missions. Had  FCM not they come in to her rescue she and her kids might not have live till now. She wept and said many time she was cursing her self previously because of the sickness and poverty and finally decided to put her children for sale. Now she is very happy that her children are in the safe hands of the Lord in the Far Corners orphanage.  And because of FCM their family is intact and together‚ no more suffering and she feels energetic. After the meeting she provided nice dinner for all the community people who attended including us.

While going to Chinni’s home I took a beautiful white star which we fixed in front of their house and fixed a electric bulb in it. It is the first star in their village and many people anxiously watched it. Some children of the community asked to give them one and they want to fix it in front of their homes.  Chinni’s daughter asked us to stay with her mother for one more day and returned next day. thanking you.

Faithfully in Him‚

Aseesh.
